rPET has one of the smallest carbon footprints of any major packaging type – smaller than glass and aluminium cans.
It takes less energy to produce and costs less to transport, both economically and in environmental impact. Making a recycled plastic bottle takes only a quarter of the energy to produce compared to its new, non-recycled counterpart. It’s light, cheap and versatile. In 2014, recycled and recyclable plastics saved US councils US$3 billion in landfill costs.
